Spectrographic data showed these drugs prevent the reduction of cytochrome c by the enzyme preparation and succinate indicating the block occurred at the dehydrogenase or an unknown factor. The inhibition of the oxidation of p-phenylenediamine by methadon shows blockage also occurs at the cytochrome-cytochrome oxidase level. ER -
