It was found that the combinations of these antimalarials are different in their joint toxicity: (1) Atabrine and quinine, quinine and hydroxyethylapocupreine, act independently and similarly (2) Atabrine in sublethal doses and pamaquine act independently but diversely. (3) Quinine and pamaquine, quinine and pentaquine are synergistic in their joint action.
