RT Journal Article SR Electronic T1 THE EFFECT OF AMPHETAMINE SULFATE ON PERFORMANCE OF NORMAL AND FATIGUED SUBJECTS JF Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics JO J Pharmacol Exp Ther FD American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics SP 106 OP 108 VO 89 IS 2 A1 HENRY W. NEWMAN YR 1947 UL http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/89/2/106.abstract AB Amphetamine sulfate in a dose of 10 mgm. by mouth is incapable of significantly improving performance of a monotonous skilled task for a relatively short time unless this performance has been reduced by previously existing fatigue. In fatigued subjects significant restoration of performance, although not to pre-fatigue levels, usually results from this medication. Thus amphetamine sulfate may be a useful drug when necessity requires the performance of such tasks by fatigued individuals. 1947 by The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics
