Avertin is distributed in most tissues in greater concentration than in blood, while the reverse holds for the latter two agents. The central nervous system has a high affinity for avertin but not for bromal and tribromoacetic acid. Several tissues other than brain exhibit higher affinities for each of the agents than does the brain. Absorption of any one agent is variable but the relative distribution of absorbed amounts is constant. ER -
