A method of administering drugs for chemotherapy studies in mice is described. The method consists of mixing the drug in any concentration desired with ground food. 2. Using separate cages and waste-proof food cups, the drug intake for each mouse can be determined. 3. It has been found that mice eat fairly regularly in every six hour period day and night. 4. Administering 4,000 to 8,000 lethal doses of type II pneumococci to mice subcutaneously, the survival rates at 60 days in mice treated with 0.5 per cent drug in the food were, for neoprontosil 6 per cent and for sulfanilamide 20 per cent.
