Changes in response with repeated administration of unsymmetrical ethyl-o-ethylphenylurea were limited to the females which animals slept longer as they grew older (this change parallels both increase in age and increase in weight but may not be a function of either). 2. In the age span of these rats the females were more susceptible both with respect to the occurrence of anesthesia and to its duration. 3. The sleeping-time was not correlated with initial weight or with gain in weight in either sex. 4. The treatment had no untoward effects on either sex as revealed by weight gain, blood studies and autopsy results. ER -
