The effects of cinchophen on the uric acid and allantoin secretion in three dogs on a constant diet was determined before and after denervation of both kidneys. 2. The effect of cinchophen on the allantoin excretion is, if anything, slightly enhanced by section of the renal nerves. 3. There is a reversal of the effect of cinchophen on the uric acid excretion after denervation of the kidneys. This reversal of effect returns to normal after a varying period which may be associated with regeneration of the renal nerves. 4. Experiments are cited to show that the increase in the urinary nitrogen and sulphur excretion produced by the exhibition of cinchophen is not altered by denervation of the kidneys.
