AB 1. It has been shown that the isolated bronchial muscle of guinea pigs is sensitive to changes as low as 1 mgm. per cent in ionic concentration of calcium as measured by the response to histamine. 2. A seasonal variation in the response to histamine in guinea pigs has been noted. 3. The significance of these factors is discussed.
