AB  - 1. A few centigrams of cobalt compounds, 1 to 5, are not toxic for man. 2. Their main and outstanding effect is the vaso-dilatation of the blood vessels of the face and the ears with a fall in blood pressure. 3. This redness of the face seems to be produced by a paralyzing effect of cobalt acting on the sympathetic system.
