The measurements were obtained from a comparison of the dose-response curves to these partial agonists with the doseresponse curve to a strong agonist, carbachol. The results were compared with those obtained with the use of an irreversible competitive blocking agent. Both approaches gave similar values. © 1969, by The Williams & Wilkins Company
