Mellett Y1 - 1965/09/01 UR - http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/149/3/446.abstract N2 - Following subcutaneous administration of 5-mg/kg doses of tritium-labeled dihydromorphine (DHM-H3), free and conjugated drug was recovered in urine and feces to the extent of 85% of time dose. A minute fraction of the dose was excreted in the feces as tritium-labeled dihydronormorphine. The data suggested that there are minimal quantitative differences in the metabolism and excretion of DHM-H3 and morphine; qualitatively the biological fate of the two compounds was very similar, if not identical.
