The half-time for equilibration of equal amounts of calcium was 9 times longer in submaxillary gland than kidney in control rats and 6 times longer in piocarpine treated rats. The blood flow to submaxillary gland as determined by the fractional distribution of K42 was approximately 50% of kidney in control rats. Blood flow in both organs increased approximately 20% in piocarpine treated rats. © 1961, by The Williams & Wilkins Company
