AB 1. Some pharmacological properties of No. 48-80, a highly potent depressor substance obtained by the condensation of N-methylhomoanisylamine with formaldehyde, have been described. 2. The effects of sub-lethal doses resemble those of histamine in many respects although the drug does not possess histamine-like properties itself. 3. No. 48-80 also exhibits certain properties not shown by injected histamine.
