Rose YR 1952 UL http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/106/3/314.abstract AB A group of seven 11-hydroxy cardiac steroids—ouabain, ouabagenin, sarmentocymarin, sarmentogenin, sarmentogenin-l-oleandroside, gamabufagin, and gama-bufotoxin—have been tested for eosinopenia in adrenalectomized Jax C57 Brown mice, and for liver glycogen deposition in adrenalectomized albino mice. They are all found inactive. Compound F and cortisone in smaller doses are effective by both tests.
