Abstract
A simple all-or-none assay for parasympatholytic agents using unanesthetized rats is described. The assay is based on the inhibition of lacrimation induced by Mecholyl. Weight, age and sex differences have no apparent influence on the results. Action following various routes of administration can be studied. Examples are given for intraperitoneal and oral routes of administration.
