Abstract
l-meta-synephrin is more stable in solution than epinephrine and is less toxic to mucous surfaces. It has an epinephrine-like action on the circulation of the frog, rabbit and cat which is diminished but not reversed by ergotaminization, and an epinephrine-like action on the bowel, uterus and kidneys of rabbits, cats and guinea pigs.
