Abstract
Ergotocin, ergometrine, ergostetrine and ergobasine have been compared under the same conditions on the isolated rabbit's uterus, the cock's comb, isolated rabbit's intestines, and by the colorimetric method. The results indicate that there is little or no difference among the four substances.
The analytical data of ergotocin and ergostetrine, in the present work, also appear to check the published figures for ergometrine and ergobasine.
