Abstract
A program is described for the composite analysis of biologic assays which are based upon quantitative responses and which are of parallel-line type. It is adapted for use with any IBM computer which employs the Fortran II language, and is designed to accommodate a maximum of 30 preparations and 100 doses in asymmetrical as well as symmetrical designs. The original data are printed out to permit verification by the experimenter. The homogeneity of variance is examined for individual preparations, individual dose groups and the individual components of the analysis of variance, and the appropriate probability values are approximated and printed out. Validity criteria and slope statistics are provided, together with the estimated potency and its 95 and 99% fiducial limits. A plot of the modified dose metameter vs. the mean response is supplied.
