1. A method for determining d,l methadone in biologic samples is described.
2. d,l Methadone is well absorbed when given orally.
3. The compound concentrates mainly in the liver, kidney, lungs and spleen. Low levels are found in blood, heart and muscle.
4. Only a very small fraction of d,l methadone appears in the feces and urine unchanged.
