THE EFFECT OF ADRENERGIC BLOCKING AGENTS ON THE VASOCONSTRICTION PRODUCED BY ACUTE OXYGEN LACK

The rise in blood pressure following the exposure of barbitalized dogs to atmospheres containing diminished amounts of oxygen can be converted to a fall by the administration of ergotamine tartrate, yohimbine hydrochloride, piperidinomethylbenzodioxan sulfate, or agr-naphthylmethylethyl-beta-chloroethylamine hydrochloride.
