A COMPARISON OF DIGOXIN WITH K-STROPHANTHOSID

J. M. WALKER 1

1 From the Department of Pharmacology, Oxford

1. The toxicity of two cardiac glucosides, digoxin and k-strophanthosid, has been determined in pigeons, cats and rabbits.

2. A method of estimating the cumulative power of cardiac glucosides in the rabbit is described.

3. Evidence is given that digoxin is cumulative in the rabbit, but that k-strophanthosid is not.
