In the dog, after administration of the drug, sulfanilamide is present in approximately equal concentrations in the various tissues with the exception of bone and fat. The distribution ratio, i.e., the ratio of the concentration of the drug in the whole organism to the concentration in the blood has been determined in 6 dogs. This ratio appears to be higher in man than in the dog. Simultaneous determinations of sulfanilamide in blood and spinal fluid of man during several hours administration of the drug show that the concentration in the spinal fluid is parallel to and slightly lower than in the blood.
