THE RELATIVE HYPNOTIC EFFECTS OF SOME UREAS OF VARIED TYPES

The relative hypnotic potencies of some varied ureas have been determined. The results demonstrate that hypnosis is a common property of most ureas, the loss of which property occurs when certain groups, such as the hydroxyl and carboxyl are incorporated. This is to be expected because these groups usually cause decrease in potency regardless of the action of the parent compound.
