THE TOXICITY OF RHODIUM

O. H. PLANT 1

1 From the Laboratory of Pharmacology, State University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa

Rhodium, as the soluble chloride, is a substance of low toxicity. Amounts far in excess of those contained in the electrolytic solution of sodium hypochlorite produce no symptoms when injected subcutaneously into white rats, or intravenously in rabbits. The residues from one liter of the electrolytic solution produced no evidences of toxicity when injected intravenously into dogs.
