THE THYROTROPIC HORMONE OF THE PITUITARY GLAND AND IODINE METABOLISM

1. The effect of the thyrotropic hormone of the pituitary gland on blood and thyroid iodine of chicks and guinea pigs has been studied.

2. The decrease in thyroid iodine has been suggested as a possible means of assay of the thyrotropic hormone.
