NOTE ON ACETYL-beta-METHYL CHOLINE

REID HUNT 1

1 From the Pharmacological Laboratory of the Harvard Medical School, Boston

1. The early work of Hunt and Taveau (1911) on the pharmacological action of acetyl-beta-methyl choline has been confirmed with other preparations of this compound.

2. The statements that the preparations used in our early work were impure have again been shown to be erroneous.

3. Further experiments on the relation of atropine to the action of acetyl-beta-methyl choline are described.

4. The blood pressure lowering bodies which have been found in the adrenals are briefly considered.
