Experiments are described which show that the fall in blood pressure which follows the intravenous injection of pituitary extract in the normal unanesthetized dog may be diminished or abolished by the administration of adrenaline or ephedrine.
It is suggested that the fall in pressure is due to coronary constriction, and its elimination by means of adrenaline or ephedrine is the result of the coronary dilatation produced by these substances.
