THE USE OF BASIC SODIUM PHOSPHATE AS AN ANTIDOTE FOR HYPERCALCEMIA IN DOGS

1. Basic sodium phosphate intravenously injected into normal dogs and dogs in which the calcium has been raised by parathyroid extract, lowers the serum calcium.

2. Though by no means ideal, this salt is a fairly effective antidote for hyperparathyroidism.
