EFFECT OF CHLORPROMAZINE, DIBENAMINE AND PHENOXYBENZAMINE ON THE CONTRACTILE RESPONSE OF TAENIA COLI TO POTASSIUM, ACETYLCHOLINE, ANGIOTENSIN AND BARIUM

Shoji Shibata 1, Oliver Carrier Jr. 1, Jerry Frankenheim 1, and James R. Darnell 1

1 Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Mississippi School of Medicine, Jackson, Mississippi

In the article by S. Shibata, O. Carrier, Jr. and J. Frankenheim, Vol. 160, No. 1, March 1968, the following corrections should be noted.

For table 2, p. 108, the title should read: Total tissue calcium content of taenia coli after chlorpromazine inhibition of potassium and acetylcholine contraction.

In table 3, p. 109, the concentration of phenoxybenzamine should read 10-4 M in every case, instead of 10-6 M, except for the second phenoxybenzamine concentration given under KCl, which appears correctly as 10-6 M.
