An extremely sensitive spectrofluorimetric method has been developed for the separate estimation of dipyridamole and of its metabolites in biological fluids and tissues.
See table in the PDF file
The half-life of dipyridamole in rabbit plasma is 75 minutes and the drug disappears rapidly from the tissues as well. Dipyridamole glucuronides were found in plasma and, unexpectedly, in tissues.
A second metabolite of dipyridamole has been found in the bile and identified as dipyridamole diglucuronide.
