A PHARMACOLOGICAL COMPARISON BETWEEN SYNTHETIC BRADYKININ AND SYNTHETIC KALLIDIN

E. Stürmer 1 and B. Berde 1

1 Pharmacological Laboratories, Sandoz Ltd., Basle, Switzerland

Synthetic bradykinin and synthetic kallidin (=(Lys—Arg)1-bradykinin) were compared in ten pharmacological tests in which plasma kinins show characteristic effects. Although no qualitative differences were found, the two peptides could be distinguished by their different activity ratios in several assay procedures.
