The ganglionic blocking action of methylatropine, atropine and TEA was evaluated in cats on the basis of the doses of each drug required to block transmission through the superior cervical ganglion, the carotid sinus vasopressor reflex and the ganglionic stimulating action of DMPP. The results with these three tests show methylatropine to be the most potent and atropine the least potent ganglionic blocking agent.
