COMBINED ACTION OF CARDIOTOXIC DRUGS: A STUDY ON THE ACUTE TOXICITY OF COMBINED QUINIDINE, MEPERIDINE, PENTOBARBITAL, PROCAINE AND PROCAINE AMIDE

We have demonstrated synergism of acute toxicity when quinidine, meperidine and procaine were used in combination. The possible mode of action has been explored and the potential hazard of cardiotoxicity discussed especially when pentobarbital is also used.
